Growing up, everyone knew my older brother Ethan was the favorite. He was louder, more charming, more dramatic, and somehow always more deserving in my parents’ eyes. I was the quiet son—the one who got good grades without being reminded, stayed out of trouble, solved his own problems, and rarely asked anyone for anything. For years, I told myself I didn’t mind.
